Zero-Dependency C++17 Self-Update Architecture (namespace selfupdate)
All Selfso Windows applications embed the reusable, zero-dependency C++17 selfupdate engine. On launch or manual user trigger, applications poll https://www.selfso.com/software/windows/version.json, verify cryptographic RFC 6234 SHA-256 digests against streaming downloads, and execute either detached setup installers with PID-wait trampoline handoff or atomic .old in-place binary replacements with automatic rollback.
